A Real Dilemma!!

Check out this GINORMOUS list of Christian denominations
Overwhelming for sure, yet it does not even begin to scratch the surface as there are reportedly over 38,000 Christian denominations in the world, each differing to one degree or another on doctrinal beliefs. So how does a person choose which church to join amid all these options?

Regardless of doctrinal differences, the one thing that all Christian denominations have in common is the belief that God exist, and that He is the ultimate source of truth and knowledge. Isn't it logical therefore that we consult Him for the answer?

This however, leads to another dilemma.…apparently God does not have a “cookie-cutter” answer to the question of which church to join. I have heard, and do not doubt the testimonies of many who have said that they had been divinely led to join the church to which they belong. I myself have been lead to my church through divine answer to my sincere prayer. Yet, remains the issue of the varying doctrinal beliefs - Should Baptism be done by sprinkling or by submersion? Do babies need to be baptized or not? Is God a spirit or an actual being? Is God 3 persons in 1 or is there a Godhead of 3 separate personages?...etc....etc...

Only God knows. He also knows us better than we know ourselves, so could it be that He is guiding each of us through different channels based on His intimate knowledge of who we are and how best to succor us to Him?

These are questions that we may not fully know the answers to until Christ returns. In the meantime, I am satisfied that God will lead the sincere seeker of truth, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little, until at last he or she returns to live with Him.
